Bright Red Trees

These trees are all over Tel Aviv and have a beautiful red/orange flower. Like a flame. If anyone knows what kind of tree it is I'd be glad to hear. I really love this tree.

In Hindi we call it gulmohor which literally means 'stamp of a rose', I think. In English, it's called the Royal Poinciana.
It's odd that it's flowering at this time of the year in Tel Aviv, 'cause most of the gulmohor trees in Dubai stopped flowering at the beginning of June. What do you guys feed your trees?! :)

Hi from PDP. These are my favorite trees in the world. Absolutely beautiful, and you've gotten a great shot of them.

And it appears they leave a display of red petals on the sidewalk as well. Do they stain the sidewalk?

What an attractive tree. Not one I know at all; possibly it is difficult to grow in Britain. I'll have to do some Googling!

It's the Poinciana and it's beautiful indeed. There are so many of them here in Montego Bay (Jamaica)in full bloom. And it's just such a beautiful sight!

I plan to put some up later this week on my site. And I think Miami Daily Photo had some up the other day as well.

In Hebrew it's called Tze'elon (צאלון). It indeed grows all over the city. There is another similar tree with purple flowers that is called Sigalon , after the color of the its flowers.
