Rememberance Day

At 11am the sirens wailed across the country and the whole of Israel came to a standstill to remember the soldiers who have given their lives defending Israel. As you can see in this photo, everyone, even those driving on highways and busy main streets, stops and stands for 2 minutes silence.

I have heard about that last week. You live in a difficult place. Hope a solution will be found one day.

Sad. A son, a father, a husband, a lover. Gone forever.

It is neat that everything stops like this. Those how have served should be remembered. I appreciate you sharing this.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

....so many seem to forget, except when they are remembering (if you get my drift)

Its a wonderful tribute to the people of Israel that they have not forgotten their fellow soldiers who have fought for their freedom and security everyday - I've heard so many good things about Israeli people and beautiful and spiritual place they live!

Every year by news, here, they show this way of rememberance: people stop whatever they are or they are doing, the country stop a minunte. Each year I'm deeply touched when I see how you are able to be so united. Long life to Israel.
