Park Meir is a very unique park. It's divided into a few sections. A playground for children, a grassy area for relaxing and getting that "park" atmosphere and a dog park section. As you can see from the photo the dogs just love the doggie park and have lots of cool ramps and things to play on.

Buses
This is a fairly new bus, so the seat covers and interior are still in good condition. How do you like the funky interior of the buses?

Interesting Bench
I found this bench exhibit at the Givatayim theatre. Look closely, and you'll see that it's made up of CDs. One way to use up your old CDs!! Don't pay attention to the ashtray. I couldn't get move the stupid thing - sorry.

Birds in a tree
Here are some birds in a tree huddled against the cold. It wasn't that cold but they're not Finnish birds, they're Israeli birds who are used to 30+ C degree heat!

At last someone is taking an interest in South Tel Aviv and Jaffa and is busy renovating a lot of the old dilapidated buildings. This apartment block in Jaffa will have a gorgeous sea view.

View of Jaffa
We took a walk the other day along the promenade from Tel Aviv to Jaffa. It's about a 30 minute walk, depending on where in Tel Aviv you start from. It's a great walk and there are loads of people cycling, rollerblading, fishing or just walking their dogs along this promenade.

Hamsa
It's raining today, so I haven't gone out much. I thought I'd show you a picture of the hamsa that hangs in my apartment. It's shaped like the bird of peace too. Hamsas are shaped like a hand and are lucky charms in this part of the world. For more information: http://www.luckymojo.com/hamsahand.html

New Apartment Block
Great apartment. Not so fast.... This is just a painting hung over this apartment block while it is being renovated. The photo below shows a better idea. This is a good idea because then you don't see all the mess and you get a preview of how the apartments should look when they're done. Very similar to what was done in Paris, which I saw in one of Eric's photos (26 January, 2007).

BMX Bandits
Remember that! When was the last time you saw a BMX out and about? Although, this one seems to be either a wannabe BMX or a hybrid.
